It's NOT rocket science!

The quick theory: the outer layer of the hair (Cuticle) is a transparent fish scales like structure and is there to protect the inner layers (primarily the Cortex; responsible for strength and flexibility, as well as containing colour and forming most of the hairs fiber) The stable condition of the cuticle is essential for the health of the inner layers.

When we shampoo our hair, the cuticle becomes 'ruffled' and open, high levels of alkaline in products can cause further exposure. To close the cuticle we need to re-balance the pH levels and blow-dry 'properly'

Now you understand the importance of blow-drying your hair!

Visit us tomorrow to learn how to get that salon finish……see you then!
